Past Idealism and Realism: just LIFE
We have been putting so much emphasis on realism vs. idealism in class that I think we have in fact lost sight of the real picture: not everything is that straightforward, and people don't always have one view or the other. Many people just live their lives, and no one needs to judge whether they are a realist or an idealist. So where did this all start? People believe in what they want to believe in. Some people are chronic dreamers, while others are pessimists. But the majority of the planet consists of just plain old PEOPLE. Who are we to judge whether they are a realist or idealist? We will never have all the facts of their lives and will never be able to analyze them fully and correctly. So why do we try?

Although I like your attitude towards the topic, and really seem to have a strong perspective on this issue... I have to disagree with you. Part of life and a lot of people's jobs are based off of this Idealism and Realism, just maybe not as clear as others. Everyday when we make decisions whether its something simple like which bathroom stall to go in, or what to say in a text message or which mulitple choice answer to choose. I feel like I analyze every situation and try to come up with what someone is trying to say or the signs among us that tell us something... I know I am just weird with this theme of Karma and "things meant to be" however, I think to say that it is in a sense unreal or stupid isnt true because it a basis for our society and even in the entire world. In class it just seems probably a little more annoying because we focus on such small details, but these small areas we base our discussions off of I believe are helping us to eventually see the bigger picture....
I really like the post though because it brings up a controversial issue that I think alot of times people are scared to write about how they truly feel and say that this is only right...so good job i enjoyed reading it even though I have a different perspective.
